Ruth joined Fountain in 2013 as an SEO Consultant and is currently leading Google Penguin update recovery within the business, alongside client account management.
With a multidisciplinary background in online analytics, business development research and copywriting, Ruth justifiably describes herself as an all-rounder and is invaluable to the PPC department, where her analytical skills maintain the ongoing success of Fountain’s client campaigns.
When asked what problem she is best at solving for her clients, Ruth emphasised the need for trend identification alongside creativity:
“When it comes to producing new content for clients and using data to find new trends to write about,
I like to think I am good at thinking outside of the box. I am also good at quickly looking at a backlink profile and anchor text ratios and being able to determine whether it is healthy or not.”
The technical expertise of both the SEO and PPC teams is constantly adapting to changes in online technology and user behaviour, and her continual research into best practice makes Ruth instrumental in new strategy development:
“It’s good to stay on top of best practise and learn as technology changes; There’s always something different that can be done.”
Offline, and outside of work, Ruth enjoys practical creativity in the form of crochet and cookery, travelling and new experiences with friends and family.
